Helium is a decentralized network that rewards you for sharing your unused home internet data. The Helium network is powered by the Helium (HLM) crypto token that may be exchanged for cryptocurrency or fiat money through an easy-to-use payment portal.

Helium’s decentralized system will empower you to share your unused internet and make money.

Helium LongFi™ is a technology architecture that combines a leading wireless technology, LoRaWAN, and the Helium Blockchain. LongFi™ is optimized for miles of range, and long battery life for IoT devices.

As of today, we have 5 different hotspot miners: Nebra Outdoor Miner, Nebra Indoor Miner, Bobcat Miner, RAK Hotspot Miner V2 and SyncroB.it HNT Gateway.

  1. Nebra Outdoor Miner
  2. Nebra Indoor Miner
  3. Bobcat Miner
  4. RAK Hotspot Miner V2
  5. SyncroB.it HNT Gateway

I have done research on all of these HNT miners and often people suggest the best option is whichever one you can get first however I recommend you understand the differences between the units as well. Thank you for reading up to this point. :)

Nebra Indoor Miner

Peak Power Consumption: 18W

BUY: Nebra LTD. (UK)
BUY: StakeBox (UK)

With the Nebra Miner app, the indoor and outdoor hotspot miners are easy to set up within minutes, and you’ll be up and running.

The HNT Hotspot Miner is a Raspberry Pi device which makes it easy to mine HNT cryptocurrency.

Nebra Outdoor Miner

Power Consumption: 15W

BUY: Nebra LTD. (UK)
BUY: StakeBox (UK)

The Outdoor shared many of the same features as the indoor model plus aluminium case, 4G module and PoE (Power Over Ethernet) for power delivery instead of a power adaptor.

The HNT Hotspot Miner comes in a ruggedized IP67-rated case that protects it from water, dust, dirt, sand…whatever. Head to the beach or climb a mountain — your miner is protected.

The HNT Hotspot Miner powered by the Raspberry Pi Compute Module is a device that makes mining HNT easy and profitable.

Bobcat Miner 300

Ultra-low Power Consumption: 5W

Bobcat Miner 300 is a high-efficiency miner hotspot compatible with Helium LongFi, the leading wireless LoRaWAN protocol and the Helium Blockchain technology. It’s compatible with all LoRaWAN devices. It’s more than just a revolution in smart mining technology, it’s a paradigm shift.

It runs on ultra-low power consumption (5W) and its signal range can cover up to 10+ miles, providing connectivity to tens of thousands of LoRaWAN end nodes detected within its range.

With a 10km coverage the Bobcat Miner 300 is all that you need to be the best network operator with highest reward.

The Bobcat Miner 300 comes with a Quad-core Cortex-A35 CPU.

RAK Hotspot Miner V2

Ultra-low Power Consumption: 5W

The RAK Hotspot Miner V2 is a Raspberry Pi4 device which makes it super easy to start mining HNT cryptocurrency. Our no-hassle, plug-and-play device was created to simplify the mining process while maximizing your potential profits.

According to recent studies, only about 50–100 RAK Hotspot Miners are needed to properly cover an entire city.

SyncroB.it HNT Gateway

Power Consumption: 12W

The SyncroB.it HNT Gateway is a high performance gateway that uses the Raspberry Pi Compute Module 4 to create an affordable device that can unlock the power of IoT.

The motherboards can be physically swapped between two cases — indoor and outdoor which greatly improves convenience.

BUY: SP NORTH AMERICA CORPORATION (CA)

Why earn HNT & use Helium?

Millions of devices can use The People’s Network and each device requires Data Credits (DC) in order to send data to the Internet. Fixed in value, DC are created by ‘burning’ HNT, reducing the total supply to achieve a Burn and Mint Equilibrium.

The more devices using Data Credits (DC), the more Helium (HNT) will be burned to create DC.

Helium’s wireless network based on LoRaWAN is ideal for low-power scenarios like sending data to and from sensors with low-cost radio waves, eliminating reliance on more costly networks such as cellular and WiFi.

With only 100 to 200 different hot spots, Helium network can usually cover most cities.

LongFi is a completely peer to peer wireless network that covers all hotspots. It operates in a similar way to Uber– anyone with an internet connection can become a host and in exchange for hosting one of our hot spots, hosts can earn $HNT for providing access to the LongFi network.

How are Tokens Earned?

Hotspots earn HNT for building and securing network infrastructure and transferring device data. They participate in an incentivized system to validate their contribution to the network.

Several Hotspots must be placed in the vicinity, at least 300 meters apart in an area and stay within wireless range of each other to send and receive the data needed to create a proof-of-coverage map.

Single Hotspots earn less as they can only issue Challenges over the internet, and can’t participate in Proof-of-Coverage. At the end of the first year, you’ll get a new distribution amount.

How do I change HNT to normal currency or vice versa?

You can convert HNT tokens to USDT on Binance or you can use Binance to exchange HNT tokens into Bitcoin and then from Bitcoin into GBP, EUR, and other currencies.

How much can I earn mining?

The amount of HNT you earn per day will vary depending on your chosen hotspot device, location of install and density of nearby nodes.
